It is with delight that we would like to announce the appointment of Kim MacLachlan as the secretary of our charity.
Kim will be taking over from Isobel and will help to continue the smooth operation of the Wisbech & District Talking Newspaper. Follow this link to the Contact Us page to find revised contact information.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Isobel for her many years of service as the charity’s secretary. She will continue as a reader with Team 1.
Unfortunately, our Secretary has had to resign her post, due to personal family reasons.
If you wish to contact us, please call our Chair, Ann, on 01945 583916, or contact us via the ‘contact us’ link on this website, or email email@example.com.

Hi Issy and everyone else.
Can I just say that I have used easyfundraising at the ski club, where I used to be a member. It really is as easy as it looks and we raised hundreds of pounds.
You get a donation for the Newspaper, for doing something you are going to do anyway and without it costing you a bean!! I urge everyone to sign up.
Every little helps!

Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be collecting free donations for Wisbech & District Talking Newspaper?
There are over 3,000 shops and sites on board ready to make a donation, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury’s – it doesn’t cost you a penny extra!
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
1. Head to https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/wisbechdistricttalkingnewspaper/ and join for free.
2. Every time you shop online, go to easyfundraising first to find the site you want and start shopping.
3. After you’ve checked out, that retailer will make a donation to your good cause for no extra cost whatsoever!
There are no catches or hidden charges and Wisbech & District Talking Newspaper will be really grateful for your donations.
Thank you for your support.
Thank you to everyone who attended our AGM. It was great to hear what a successful year we have had! We finished by presenting some long service certificates – Ann for 25 years and Madeleine and Peter for 20 years. Well done folks! Thanks for your dedication to our cause!
Please note our Quiz Night is Friday 13 May 2016, not March as listed in the Newsletter – apologies for the error.
Our engineer and web master, Keith, has surprised us all by announcing his marriage to the beautiful Lauren last weekend. We send them all our love and wish them all the very best for the future.

We will, again, be having a stall at this year’s Rose Fair – on Saturday 2 July. So, we will be looking for volunteers to do a 2-hour stint on the stall, as well as helping setting up and clearing.
We will, again, be having a bric-a-brac stall, together with our ‘alternative’ raffle, and would be grateful if you could start looking for items for the stall. You can leave them at Peckover, or with one of the Committee members.
Thanking you all in advance.
The Wisbech & District Talking Newspaper is one of three local charities that have been chosen for the January & February Asda Community Chosen By You tokens scheme. We would be grateful if you visit Wisbech Asda that you put some tokens in our box. We will receive a £50 donation whatever the outcome – but we would really love to win & get £200 for our vital work!
